Our Story
Meet Joe Klecker
Joe Klecker started Camel Towing with one tow truck and a simple idea: there's a faster, more honest way to buy junk cars in Minnesota. Before towing, Joe ran a storage unit auction business — buying unpaid units and reselling the contents. When a TV show changed the auction game, Joe pivoted. One day he brought a load of catalytic converters to a recycling center and saw the stream of people selling junk cars. He went out, bought a flatbed, and never looked back.
Today, Camel Towing buys 20–25 cars every week, backed by a salvage yard that's been operating since 1995. The business is still family-owned, still based in Ham Lake, and still focused on paying fair prices with fast, no-hassle service.
